Dr. Thomas Moore, CEO of UCSD Faculty Practice Believes in Managing Change Horizontally

Dr. Thomas Moore, a 20-year member of SDCMS-CMA, is board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology, as well as maternal-fetal medicine, and is CEO of UC San Diego Faculty Practice. The UC San Diego Health network includes 117 primary care physicians and 741 specialists, and provides care to more than 50,000 patients.

One of the¬†perspectives that stood out about Dr. Moore was his view on managing change. “Great cultures are respectful of each other and manage change horizontally rather than vertically.” He also shared that communicating mutual caring among all staff is an essential part of delivering superb healthcare to patients and families.
