My fourth interview in the series was with Dr. John Jenrette, CEO of Sharp Community Medical Group (SCMG). Board certified in family medicine and geriatric medicine, he is responsible for managing a network that includes more
 than 200 primary care physicians and 600 specialists, and provides care to more than 155,000 members through eight health plan HMO and ACO contracts.

One of his perspectives that stood out to me is how leaders should empower and grow their staff like tennis coach; with regular and specific feedback on what is working and what can be improved. “If I were hiring a tennis coach, I’d want feedback. In leadership, it’s also about feedback. When
 we get into business, people are afraid to give feedback and they also don’t usually like to receive it.” Read the published article.
